I really like this, so cute! Have you considered using the pathfinder tool to make it so the eye of the bird shows the background color, in this instance, brown...or make the eye the same color as the fore-wing :) Aside from that itty bitty thing...it's perfect! Nicely done and I love how you showed how it would look as the icon on an iphone...
