superb work, dbunk. i love the red spot, it gives depth to the symbol. not so keen on adding that .info but i like the overall appearance:p see ya.

There is an illusion of length created with the cork that adds to the look and feel of a wine bottle. Without the cork the mouth looks too wide IMHO

I think just a suggestion line on the bottom between the utensils is all you probably need.

I think the shape is almost right. what if you scale down the woman's lip, how does it look?

InterpidGuppy: Ye I did a version with the lights intersecting but felt that this more simpler and needed only 2 colours to arrive at the solution. :)
