@GreenInkStudio - :) I totally hear you, but HIVE.com of course wasn't available...and I'd been playing around with a couple hybrid/numeric domains for the past week or so... (I mean how often do you get your hands on a 4 character domain right..?!) ;) So in light of that, I think the name's probably going to stick but I agree there are a couple read issues to address... With the '7' I used, I was trying to run as close to a 'V' form as I dared...but perhaps a stylized '7' is the best way to go > something to break from the rest of the typography. I've tried it a few different ways including stylized 7's but couldn't quite find the right fit. It's still a work in progress, but I think it's got definite potential... :) Thanks a lot for the feedback!
Michael, I was going to ask how it's supposed to be read, but I thought that was a rather stupid question. The seven is confusing because I read it as HIZE, thinking maybe it was a stylized Z. But then the mark is obviously a hive. I vote for HIVE instead of HI7E :-)
**Quick Update On The Primary Mark** This was actually the original design, but I thought I'd give it a little twist in case it was 'too obvious'... I've gotten some feedback saying this guys was a little more readable as a 'HIVE' so I'm trying it out... If you have any thoughts one way or another, be sure to let me know! :) Cheers!
