Thanks buddy ;)
I'm also trying to get a feel of how legible the thicker (1st) font seems to you guys. I like it better, but it does feel heavier for the eyes to perceive.
So, perhaps rogue has keyed into something that will help the rest of the designers on this site -- critique *before* submission. By chance, MD, would there be a way to put a helpful suggestion above the submission choices, or as a separate page that would make designers pause and read it before actual submission?
Something along the lines of..."Submitting for critique from fellow designers before submitting for sale is strongly encouraged. Might help you strengthen your design. Strong designs get approved. Continue?"
I believe inserting a separate page that would force them to click through it to get to the submission page would be helpful. I know, it would be a pain to have to do, and a pain for folks to read, but...in the end, the work helps everyone be conscious of their design and improve the file quality of the site. And we all want our designs to be approved and sell, right? And, MD, wouldn't it be nicer, as one who has to sift through gobs of logos that could have used feedback before submitting...to see less of those that need help in an obvious way? Just a thought. It might make everyone's lives easier. I'll be posting this comment in the forum as well. Thread link here: http://brandstack.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=173&sid=a7060759bf7c1abac543d3b99aa3a45b
Thanks for all the advice and appreciation guys :)
@JF - it only seemed logical, you guys know way more about this than I do :)
@McGuireDesign - I'm glad you liked what you saw, it will only get better ;)
@graffex - thanks for the idea ;)
I agree with JF. Great job, your illustrator file was one of the best I've seen in your presentation with your variations, color swatches shown, and fonts used. Nice job.
I really think you have something here -- you did something that many other designers don't do -- you asked for feedback *before* you submitted it...which is fantastic. Kudos on that; it might make life easier and more enriching for many designers to adopt this habit.
This logo has a lot of positive qualities. Concept is good, execution is good, and use of colors and lines is interesting, in my opinion.
Exactly tanami :D Just the way I feel after a cup of "ceai" :)
