I think the v should blend into both "E"s - the same as a mirror image. X seems too tight on the backward E. And ZEV spacing is too open. Make it all more consistent. Otherwise it reads almost like... Z E VEX.
hi. I'd get rid of the drop shadow, pick another font (no outline on Works), reduce the whole design by 50% and please make sure it's centred in the frame.
To me the colouring looks more towards beauty products. It's close but not quite there. I'm liking it as one colour (the watermark on the back looks good). I'd try to simplify the colour treatment.
Welcome to Brandstack.
Do you own the copyright of the original photo you've used? If not you cannot sell this design, to a client, or here on Brandstack. All elements in a logo must be your own work 100%.
And yes, it needs to be in vector format.
Design-wise, this needs a lot of work to look like a cohesive logo. Take a look at the Brandstack "Favs" to get an idea.
Cheers

Here's a critique - you have ripped this: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-4400496-mad-dog.php?st=a5efd84
And that is my illustration - I'm another Brandstack designer. Remove it.
