I like the idea... The font kind of goes with the whole idea as well... I'd work on the wine glass... as the top and bottom seem to be inconsistent in style with each other... the whole thing seems a little big/uneven for a logo... and I'd play with the colors as well, as they tend to be a little old fashioned... like grandma old fashion... but like I said, I like the idea. :)
I think you're almost there with this one... I almost want to spring it... :)
What I would do is use your second variation (no box, on white) and give the icon some kind of base... a square or oval in shape; maybe in a green or dark blue, that would work well with your already existing color...
I'd also play around with different fonts... maybe thick'n up sky or span or both... it looks a little more like reading font than a brand font... and also... get rid of "construction"... that way it's not interfering if someone would like to use it for something else. I like it enough though that I think with some tweaking it's almost there... ;)
This is one of those where you'd pull two things out of a hat like "Moby Dick" & "Furniture" and as a designer you're like, "what the !@#$ am I suppose to do with this".... but you pulled it off wonderfully!.. Well done! Sprung & Fav'd!
Not sure about the name... but the mark is awesome... Sprung!
