This is an elegant logo designed specifically for a photographer (obviously, we would replace "David Snow" with whatever your name is, colors could also be customized). The icon can represent an abstract "shutter". One could also use this logo for a jewelry company, where the icon could stand for a gem or type of jewelry. Looks great on white, as well as another color background!
