The Brand Keys 2015 Customer Loyalty Engagement Index

Reading Time: 2 minutes

For decades, Brand Keys, a New York-based brand loyalty and customer engagement research consultancy, has applied its proprietary consumer-centric system to determine corporate brand equity. This helps predict what a company’s customers will be thinking about and, more importantly, buying.

The firm published the 2015 edition of its annual Customer Loyalty Engagement Index (CLEI), which “paints a detailed picture of the category drivers that engage customers, engender loyalty, and drive real profits.”

This year the Index looks at customers’ relationships with 540 brands in 64 categories, encompassing everything. The firm surveyed a total of 36,605 consumers raging from ages 18 to 65 years old.

Take a look at how consumers engaged with different brands—from online music to air travel.

The top-ranking brands below are set to demonstrate the highest levels of customer engagement and loyalty over the next 12 to 18 months.

Brandkeys’ study illustrates how consumers are building expectations, viewing categories, comparing offerings, and purchasing goods or services. Some brands certainly perform better than others. Apple dominates more than one category in this list. It beats its competitors for the computer, smartphones, and tablets category.

Ready to rise above your competition?

Brand engagement is built by different factors like emotional expectations and human connection. Consumers nowadays prefer to be heard not spoken to.

They are gone and done with the sales-first approach of most businesses. A study by Salesforce found that 54% of consumers think that companies need to recalibrate the way they engage customers.

One effective way you can do this is to start off your business with a compelling brand identity. It’s best to create a brand mark that will strike emotional attachment with your audience. Your first step is to think about your target audience before conceptualizing a design. For example, brands like Apple or Ford have logos that carry a lot of meaning to their fans and consumers. Similarly, you want a brand mark that strikes an emotional attachment with your audience.

You can make an original business logo that your audience will remember. BrandCrowd’s logo maker has a library full of designs for industries like tech, beauty, food, and more. Don’t miss out.
