52 Science Logos for Big Bang Branding

Posted on April 21, 2025 by Lauren

Have you ever heard of International Girls in ICT Day? It’s a special day celebrating girls and young women who dream big in science, technology, and everything digital.

Now think about this: What if your brand could do the same thing? What if your logo — just one little image — could say, “I’m smart, strong, and ready to take on the world!”

That’s where science logos come in!

They’re not just for lab coats and test tubes. Nope. A good science logo can launch your brand like a rocket. It can show you’re innovative. Creative. Trustworthy. Maybe even a little genius.

In honor of the bold thinkers and future tech leaders (yes, you included), we’ve rounded up 52 science logos that bring the boom to branding.

Ready to blast off? Let’s go!

Women in Science

Girls and women have always been part of science — even when history forgot their names. They’ve been changing the world from cracking codes to launching rockets one discovery at a time. Today, more girls are stepping into labs, tech spaces, and classrooms with bigger ideas and dreams.

Here are some notable women that rocked the science world:

1. Marie Curie

Marie Curie was a total trailblazer. She discovered two new elements — polonium and radium — and studied radioactivity when no one else understood it.

She was also the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and then she went on to win another! Her work helped create modern cancer treatments and proved that science isn’t just for men.

2. Katherine Johnson

Katherine Johnson was a math genius who worked at NASA. Her calculations were so accurate that astronauts trusted her to get them safely to space — and back.

She helped launch missions to the moon and changed history while breaking down racial and gender barriers. Her story was even told in the movie “Hidden Figures.”

3. Rosalind Franklin

Rosalind Franklin used X-rays to take super-detailed photos of DNA. Her images were key to discovering DNA’s famous double-helix shape.

Even though she didn’t get credit right away, today, we know how important her work was. Without her, we might not understand genetics as well as we do now.

4. Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall spent years living with chimpanzees in Africa to study how they live, communicate, and care for each other.

She discovered that chimps aren’t so different from us, and her discoveries changed how scientists view animals. She’s still working to protect wildlife today.

5. Tu Youyou

Tu Youyou is a Chinese scientist who discovered a treatment for malaria, a disease that affects millions. She found the cure using traditional medicine and modern science.

Her work has saved countless lives. In 2015, she won the Nobel Prize in Medicine — and became the first Chinese woman to win it.

Tips on Designing a Science Logo

Science is smart — your logo should be, too! Here are some tips you should follow:

  • Think beyond the beaker: Use symbols like atoms, DNA strands, circuits, or stars to show innovation without being too obvious.
  • Keep it clean and clear: Science is all about precision, so choose simple shapes and fonts that feel sharp and easy to read.
  • Add a spark of color: Blues and greens feel trustworthy and techy, but if you want to stand out, add a pop of yellow, orange, or neon.
  • Make it feel modern: Use sleek lines or geometric shapes to give your logo a fresh, futuristic vibe — like something you’d see in a cool lab or startup.

Science Logo Design Ideas

Your logo should speak loud and clear when it comes to science. Here are some ideas to inspire you!

We’ve come up with three major categories that you should check out:

  • Scientist Logos
  • Science Fair Logos
  • Female Scientist Logos

Scientist Logos

Scientist logos often blend precision with creativity.

Think of a logo that combines scientific equipment like microscopes, test tubes, or molecules with sleek, modern fonts. These logos are perfect for research companies, labs, or science-based education programs. They represent intelligence and innovation with a dash of imagination.

Science Fair Logos

Many science lovers start their journey at a science fair. This is where curiosity meets creativity and where young minds show off their cool experiments and ideas.

A science fair logo might include bright, playful colors and symbols like lightbulbs or gears to spark excitement and curiosity. It’s about showcasing that this is where it all begins — with a passion for learning and discovery.

Rocket Science Logos

Let’s be honest – if your logo has a rocket, it immediately feels cooler. Rocket science logos bring that perfect mix of brainpower and boldness. They say, “Yeah, we solve hard problems… and do it in style.”

But here’s the fun part: it doesn’t have to be super technical. Some rocket logos are playful, even retro, while others go full NASA mode. You can use them to represent innovation, speed, or just a good old-fashioned love for space.

So if your brand wants to look smart and unstoppable, rocket science logos might just be your launchpad.

Bonus: Female Scientist Logos

Female scientist logos celebrate the women changing the world in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Use potent, empowering symbols like lab coats, telescopes, or abstract representations of innovation.

Feminine touches, like soft curves or bold colors, can add a unique flair to these logos while showing that women are at the forefront of scientific progress.
