108 Halloween Elements for this Season
Can you feel a chill in the air? That’s because it’s the season for Halloween. Before we go to warm, Christmassy designs, we first need to look at the Halloween elements.
Join us as we enumerate various spooky and cute design elements you can incorporate into your logo design, banners, and more. Check out the designs below and see which one suits your spooky branding this season.
Halloween Elements Tis Season
A bit of Halloween history, Samhain is the ancient Celtic festival that jump-started modern Halloween celebrations today. The belief was that the deceased’s spirits would return to their homes to visit their families. People would dress up like the undead to ward off evil spirits and light a bonfire to ward off evil spirits.
And here we are today, still doing it, but without the belief, just an everyday celebration to dress up spookily and enjoy the aesthetic in general. In some countries like the Philippines, Mexico, and even Germany, All Saint’s Day is a holiday celebrating the lives of loved ones who passed.
Join in on the celebration with the Halloween logo ideas you can use as design elements below. We picked four major categories just for you.
Ghosts
Even in ancient times, stories of ghostly apparitions and specters proliferated towns and even cities. From Bloody Mary to Slender Man, the creation of these entities was used as telltales to caution children or scare people.
Some actively look for them, like Ghost Files by the Watcher, and others, create versions of ghosts that look cute and less intimidating, like in the movie Casper. Either way, ghosts are a staple Halloween-themed icon design.

Animals
What creature can you think of when the Halloween season comes around? Some of your answers are a bat, a black cat (they are not bad luck, please treat them with kindness), a wolf, a spider, or maybe a raven would be some of your answers.
And having these animals in your design can exude power, friendliness, or caution depending on the color combination and typography choice you pair with them.

Undead
Lastly, we have zombies. Zombies became undead cannibalistic figures because of George A. Romero’s 1968 film Night of the Living Dead. He combined some aspects of a vampire and a zombie, creating the ghoulish nightmare we know today.
From shows like the Walking Dead to Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Zombieland, we’ve seen zombies become part of our imagination of a dystopian future. However, we do imagine what zombie romances would be like in Warm Bodies or Pride Prejudice and Zombies.
This ghoulish character has become part of numerous Halloween figures. You can sometimes also see them without their flesh. Get inspired by the zombie logo designs below for the season and beyond.
